AWS to invest $7.5B to create New Zealand cloud region

Amazon Web Solutions (AWS) is following in the steps of Microsoft by creating a New Zealand cloud region in an investment the cloud giant stated was worth NZ$ 7.5 billion.

According to AWS, the new cloud area– which is anticipated to introduce in 2024– signs up with 25 other areas internationally with the $7.5 billion set to be spent on building and construction, operations, devices and staff over 15 years.
