Is Midnight Mass the third season of The Haunting?

Midnight Mass premieres Friday, Sept. 24. The current Mike Flanagan scary series will take viewers to Crockett Island where a small and separated neighborhood has actually accepted a brand-new priest into their fold.

Dad Paul has actually brought with him blessings and miracles or so the islanders think. However weird things are happening all around their community and something isn’t right. Few in the area want to put down their spiritual eagerness enough time to begin asking questions. However, the priest isn’t the only person to get here in Crockett just recently.

A native kid of the island has made his return and the home he’s come back to is one that he does not recognize with Father Paul as his neighborhood’s shepherd. It’s a story fit for chills as the townspeople fall deeper into their spiritual devotion and are willing to do anything to continue the miracles they’ve seen.

As Flanagan is known to customers as the creator of The Haunting anthology series, it’s easy to understand that there’s confusion on whether Midnight Mass is the next installation of the anthology.

It’s not. This horror mystery is a standalone minimal series that’s different from The Haunting. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Flanagan described why:

One of the important things that specifies the Haunting anthology for me is that both of them up until now have to do with updating and riffing on existing traditional literature. Midnight Mass was always so initial and essential and individual, it simply never seemed like it was ever going to be a part of that universe.

Provided his action, here’s what we know about season 3 of the anthology and whether fans should expect a third season quickly.

Will there be a 3rd season of The Haunting?

As Flanagan mentioned, The Haunting of Hill House and The Haunting of Bly Manor are both works of fiction asserted on themes drawn from timeless lit. They have lots of tributes and twists, subversions of what’s found in the source material the programs draw from.

Bearing that in mind, fans need to prepare for an indefinite await another installment of The Haunting anthology. For there to be a 3rd season, Flanagan says the stars would have to line up.

It would have to be with the best piece of IP, it would have to be with the best ghost-centric story, and it would need to actually fit with Bly and Hill House.

While another horror by Mike Flanagan is set to strike in the next year e.g.The Midnight Club, a 3rd season of The Haunting isn’t. We’ll keep you published on more The Haunting season 3 news as it is available in. Stay tuned to Life!
